Bert Diaz

Bert Diaz is the General Counsel of Libra Group, providing legal oversight for the Group’s North, South, and Central American business interests, based in Libra Group’s New York City headquarters.

In 2007, Bert joined Libra from Akerman Senterfitt P.A. (Akerman LLP), where he was previously a Partner in the Corporate and Global Practice Groups focused on commercial clients in the Western hemisphere. Before that, he was a Partner in the International Practice Group of Greenberg Traurig, LLP, specializing in private and public cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and large-scale corporate finance.

Bert obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and his Bachelor’s degree from Tufts University in Economics. He was admitted to practice law in 1994.
