Diversity and Belonging
Advancing diversity and opportunity across our global ecosystem.
Our Story
From humble beginnings, Libra Group remains driven by human ingenuity.
In 1976, Michael Logothetis founded Lomar Shipping. In 1994 at age 19, his son George Logothetis became the company’s CEO. Over the next 10 years, Lomar was grown from three ships into a modern 55-vessel fleet. Building on insights from the shipping business, George established Libra Group in 2003.
Since then, Libra Group has become a diversified global portfolio of companies operating in nearly 60 countries, including 20 businesses across six sectors.
Today, that ecosystem of organizations is a vehicle of growth at scale, empowerment, and opportunity around the world. We seek to unlock human potential by advancing the best ideas wherever they come from, promoting based on merit, and providing a platform with agility to deploy insights that advance our sectors and the global economy.
Our Values: Diversity & Belonging
Across Libra Group’s ecosystem, we strive to provide a supportive work environment that fosters a sense of belonging.
Diversity is imperative and is built into our DNA. Our mission is to tap into the power of our people, whether it’s by training and providing global opportunities to our interns, empowering employees across our organization, or seeking out innovative new partners.
We are committed to using our platform as a mechanism for growth, recognizing the benefit of learning from different gender identities, races, ethnicities, and sexual orientations.
