Libra Group has today announced its entry into the aviation leasing market with the creation of a new operating subsidiary, Lease Corporation International. The new Dublin-based company is currently investing in a mixed fleet of wide and narrow-bodied Airbus and Boeing aircraft which will be made available to airlines on the basis of operating leases. Strategically positioned to work with major industry names and flag carriers, Lease Corporation International represents an innovative approach to aircraft leasing characterised by flexible terms and an ability to negotiate and execute leasing agreements with a speed and agility not normally possible with large, bureaucratic asset finance organisations. Libra Group, with its years of experience and expertise in global shipping through ship owner and operator, Lomar, is well versed in the needs and characteristics of international transportation.
The company’s launch portfolio contains three aircraft with leases already attached. Agreements are in place for a further seven aircraft to join the stable followed by another six over the next year.
