Hyatt Place Macaé set to open in February 2018
Work is well underway in Brazil at the Hyatt Place Macaé, the Hyatt-Elandis joint project 180 kilometres northeast of Rio de Janeiro, with the new hotel scheduled for opening in February 2018. The city of Macaé is an economic hub for tourism, fishing, and significantly the oil industry as it services the majority of Brazil’s off-shore petroleum platforms.
The Hyatt Place Macaé is located centrally on Avenida Atlantica in the Cavaleiros district, within easy reach of the city’s shops, restaurants, bars and nightlife. It is part of a large master development agreement between Hyatt and Elandis, the international real estate arm of the Libra Group that develops, owns, and manages real estate assets throughout the Americas and in Europe, to develop a total of nine Hyatt Place hotels throughout Brazil.
The new Hyatt Place in Macaé has 141 keys over eight floors, all with a sea view, minibar, TV, air conditioning and wifi access throughout. Fully-equipped rooms with laptop-compatible safes and desks will offer comfort and stylish furnishing. The hotel also features a restaurant, cafeteria, lobby lounge and bar. In addition, the rooftop swimming pool, which faces directly onto the ocean, has a snack bar and there is also a fitness centre. Business needs and events are catered for with 150 sq m of flexible meeting space. This is the second Hyatt Place to be built by Elandis in Brazil. The first, Hyatt Place São José do Rio Preto, was completed and opened in November 2016.
