Former winery is Aria’s next Cycladic boutique hotel
Aria Hotels, the privately-owned boutique hotel and villas company known for its emphasis on authentic hospitality, adds to its Santorini portfolio. The latest property to be added is ‘Finikia Residence’ in the tranquil village of Finikia on the north coast of Santorini, 10 kilometres northwest of the capital Fira and very close to the iconic village of Oia. It is perfectly located for exploring the beaches on the island’s northeast coast and is one of three Aria properties on Santorini. Finikia Residence is a worthy addition to Aria’s collection of hotels and villas for the discerning traveller across mainland Greece and the Greek islands.
In the past, the property operated as a traditional winery or ‘canava’ and sold both wine and bread. Nowadays, the extensive space has been turned into a self-contained studio, including an indoor shower, separated by a partition wall that stands in the place of the old grape press.
‘Finikia Residence’ has diverse architectural influences and includes rare artefacts, collected by the sea Captains that used to live in the property. Finikia Residence has been renovated with meticulous attention to detail. The property’s terrace offers stunning views of seven islands and features a large hot tub.
