Aria Hotels Inaugurates Casa del Torno, Second Property in Colombia

[December 6, 2024]  — Aria Hotels is pleased to announce its the opening of Casa del Torno, its first operational property and second historic site in Colombia, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion.

Casa del Torno is nestled in the historic San Diego neighborhood in the city of Cartagena, a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site on Colombia’s Caribbean coast known for its well-preserved colonial architecture, colorful streets, and lively plazas.

Housed in a meticulously restored 17th-century building, once home to Clarissine nuns who lived in complete seclusion, the property features accommodation for up to nine guests and a private pool, offering an authentic taste of Cartagena’s colonial past. Cartagena offers diverse experiences including boat trips, fine dining, shopping and guided tours. Aria Hotels also offers full concierge services and hospitality encounters carefully curated to celebrate local culture and heritage.

Aria Hotels’ expansion to Colombia was announced this past September, marking its first venture outside of Greece, reflecting a significant milestone as Aria seeks out opportunities for international growth. Part of our Group’s hospitality portfolio, which includes over 70 properties, Casa del Torno is one of two Colombian hospitality projects that will be under Aria’s management.
