COCO-MAT brings sustainable sleep solutions to Japan
COCO-MAT, the leading Greek manufacturer of specialist mattresses, other natural sleep products and furnishings, has opened a new store in Tokyo, Japan. It is the company’s first opening in the country and represents another capital city on the COCO-MAT retail map.
Located in the new and desirable location of the Ariake Garden shopping centre, its modern and natural environment echoes the COCO-MAT philosophy of ‘sleep on nature’. The complex in Ariake Bay features around 200-stores and restaurants, an 8,000-person capacity theatre, a large-scale ‘onsen’ hot springs facility, a high-end 749-room hotel, and condominiums comprising over 1,500 apartments across three towers.
The local COCO-MAT team, headed by Masakazu Ootaki, has worked tirelessly through lockdown conditions to open the shop on time, fully stocked, and with a level of publicity to establish the brand’s arrival in Japan.
