Aria Hotels adds period villa on Crete to its Greek portfolio
Villa Athermigo just outside Chania, Crete sleeps up to 10 and is available with a full range of hotel-style services provided by Aria Hotels
Aria Hotels (www.ariahotels.gr) has added a further property to its collection of classic Greek hotels and holiday villas. Villa Athermigo is a period villa in the picturesque village of Gavaloxori Apokoronas, just outside the historic town of Chania. The fully-serviced villa can be rented as a whole to accommodate parties of up to 10 people or as individual self-contained suites each sleeping between two and four people.
The 250 year-old villa has been recently restored and now provides a full range of modern amenities while preserving the unspoilt charm and authenticity of the property. Guests in the three accommodation units share a luxurious lounge and kitchen as well as the courtyard and garden with its secluded private swimming pool and Jacuzzi.
Through Aria Hotels’ sister property, the Alcanea Boutique Hotel in the heart of Chania, villa guests can choose from a wide range of hotel-style services such as daily housekeeping car rental, restaurant booking and excursions. Aria Hotels can serve breakfast at the villa or extend the service to include lunch, dinner or party catering.
Commenting on the new addition to Aria Hotels group, Mrs. Alice Panagakou, General Manager of both Alcanea and Villa Athermigo said: “The villa offers the perfect rural retreat in Crete in a traditional setting with a beautiful secluded private garden. With our Aria team on hand we are able to combine a hotel experience with the privacy and exclusivity of a villa holiday”
The name Athermigo is derived from the traditional olive pressing process that is typical of the locality. The three deluxe accommodation units are named after the trees on the property: Elia (Olive tree), Rodia (Pomegranate tree) and Karydia (Walnut tree).
